I was surprised to be told yesterday by a good friend that she was selling her unique and beautiful home of 33 years and moving to France permanently. She already has a holiday home in rural France but now wants a town apartment so she can enjoy a new life visiting art galleries, exhibitions and the opera and taking evening strolls into a vibrant town centre and all in the warm Mediterranean sunshine. She explained that although she has a good life in the UK she needs a challenge and an opportunity to do something different in retirement.
It has made me think about my life and the challenges I may have for the future. My choices will be different but they will include moving on.
Sometimes it is the things others do that give you the inspiration and courage to make your own life changes.
