Ulverston always seems to be a very happy place when hosting the International Festivals at the Manjushri Centre, still known to many locally as Conishead Priory.

This year the Summer Festival takes place from 24th July to 8th August and attracts Buddhists from all over the world and according to one of the Festival websites 'each session is translated into 11 different languages'.

A vast number of people participate as is illustrated by the following staggering statistic again from the Festival website:-

'The kitchen at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre is producing over 78,600 meals for the duration of the Summer Festival'.

This is a joyous festival held in a beautiful location.
