I'm planning a gap year for 2010, well I am a student and I think it will be a fun thing to do. I hope to travel to France and finish the project we started 15 years ago, renovating an old forge. I also would like to spend some time in Scandinavia and to visit my friend Carol on the island of Gotland.

I will write a book, a suggestion from my friend John. I love writing and this autobiography will give me a focus. I have made one decision about the book and that is to start from now and go backwards, that should give me a good quick starting point.

I am still looking for the big project but may never find it and may have to make do with several small journeys and tasks.

I am, however, enjoying the planning and the words 'it is sometimes better to travel than to arrive' come to mind.
