I took flowers from my garden to the seaside churchyard at Aldingham yesterday for Molly, it would have been her 92nd birthday.
A colourful and fragrant collection of sweet peas, lavender, red roses and the bright pink flower I rescued from the garden of her home before it was sold
After laying the flowers I wandered into the church, which is open to visitors, just as Molly and I used to do when we brought flowers for her late husband Doug.
I reflected on how lucky I was that Molly and Doug had been a part of my life.
