Seeing Jean gradually settle into her room at the care home makes me realise that one of the most important things about old age is to feel safe. She has a few familiar items with her and I spend time with her in the evening as always and I can already see that she feels secure although naturally still apprehensive.

I hope I will be as brave in the future if I need care.
