Yesterday in the USA President Obama presented the countries highest civilian honour, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, to a small group of very special people.
Among the recipients were the physicist Stephen Hawking and Muhammad Yunus, founder of the Grameen bank and Nobel peace Prize winner.
Both, in my opinion, worthy recipients of this special honour.

Today I would like to honour my own very special person. It would have been my late mother's 85th birthday.
She will be honoured with flowers from my garden and all the happy memories I have.
