I think a plan is an essential tool, certainly for business but also for other important events. I found out a few days ago that I need to produce a plan for my ECA to show what I am going to do and the timescale. Whilst other students on my OU course are thrown by this suggestion I am relishing the opportunity to do this formally. Not only do I need to submit this plan and later explain if it worked but I find it is worth 10% of the marks and so reflects the importance of planning for a complex technical exercise. Thinking back to the systems course (T214) I did last year I recall the work I did on frameworks with iteration as a central theme. Iteration is not only an important element of fractal artwork I also think it is an important part of a plan.
(T214 Understanding systems:Making sense of complexity) The best OU course I have completed, it was the hardest course but the most rewarding - and I got a good mark!
