I talk to John most Monday evenings on skype. We both studied French with the OU doing two courses together. John is now a level 3 French student but I changed direction to English and now technology. These Monday meetings are an important part of our OU experience. Neither of us meet up with fellow students and although we are doing different courses we support and encourage each other. John is another of my friends I have never met, he lives about 320 miles away in the south of England.
