Is a three hour written examination still the best way to test skills and knowledge? This was a discussion I was having with friends yesterday.
Our conclusion was that rarely do we write at length these days and because we use word processing how we write has transformed. Cut and paste and going back to add to a section is now normal but not possible without word processing. Writing skills have changed and we all thought examinations should now play catch up and use a computer rather than a pen.
