The final apples have been harvested from our garden today, my sign that summer is over and autumn is here. I love the changes of the seasons with their different weather and foods and now look forward to a few weeks of autumn.
I am not comfortable in warm weather so just as well to live in the lake district with it's abundance of rain. Summer is my least favourite season as it always seems so temporary and full of failed expectation.
